The Abraham Lincoln Historical Experience

The Lincoln Foundation explores the formative early lives of the Lincoln family in Washington County, Kentucky—an often overlooked region central to the origins of the Lincoln legacy. Through original research, historical interpretation, and educational outreach, the site highlights the Lincoln family’s time in Beechland and nearby Mill Creek, shedding new light on their roots in Kentucky. We are a nonprofit dedicated to preservation and public education. Our project promotes historical awareness through publications, site markers, libraries, tourism initiatives, and more.
